Dengue fever surges in Laos by over 1,000 cases compared to same period in 2022


Dengue fever spreads quickly among urban and rural poor in Laos especially thise who live in unsanitary circumstances near stagnant water where mosquitoes flourish. - Laotian Times

VIENTIANE (Laotian Times): Laos has recorded an increase of more than 1,000 dengue fever cases compared to the same period from January to early July last year.

A report from the Centre of Information and Education for Health under the Lao Ministry of Health found that 7,662 cases were recorded from January until 3 July of this year, up from 6,047 cases in the same period last year.
