Indonesian-Malaysian cross-cultural festival Latihan Pestapora Malaysia returns to Bukit Jalil with another exciting line-up

Following the excitement surrounding the announcement of its second edition and also the overwhelming response towards its “Blind Sale Tickets” recently, Latihan Pestapora Malaysia 2026 has officially unveiled the full lineup of artists set to take the stage at one of the region’s most highly anticipated cross-cultural music festivals.

Set to take place on 15 August 2026 at the National Hockey Stadium, the festival organised by Hitman Solutions and Boss Creator returns with a specially selected lineup curated around the tastes and preferences of Malaysian fans, bringing together celebrated names from Malaysia and Indonesia in a festival experience that promises to be more immersive, more energetic and more meaningful than ever before.

Carrying the spirit of Pestapora from Indonesia, this year’s edition will feature big names such as Tulus, Romantic Echoes, Juicy Luicy, Bernadya, Mahalini, Maliq & D’Essentials, Rhoma Irama Soneta, and Nadhif Basalamah as some of the most anticipated acts among Malaysian audiences.

On the Malaysian side, audiences can also look forward to Aisha Retno, Aziz Harun, Gerhana Skacinta, Masdo, Insomniacks, and FUGO showcasing performances that reflect the richness and diversity of the local music landscape.

Overall, Latihan Pestapora Malaysia 2026 brings together artists from Malaysia and Indonesia, with a strong emphasis on cross-generational and cross-genre performances, a defining element that continues to shape the festival’s identity.

Among the highlights expected to draw significant attention is the special collaborative performance featuring Nadhif Basalamah alongside Aziz Harun and Aisha Retno, delivering a one-of-a-kind set created exclusively for the festival.

Alongside this cultural collaboration, local favourites Masdo and Gerhana Skacinta will present a specially curated set for Latihan Pestapora Malaysia 2026, blending their signature sounds of doo-wop and ska into one shared, unforgettable live experience where genre lines are seamlessly blurred on stage.

According to Rohit Rampal, CEO and Founder of Hitman Group, the strong response towards the recent “Blind Sale Tickets” reflects the growing influence of the Latihan Pestapora brand as well as the increasing demand for cross-cultural festival experiences in Malaysia.

“Bringing Latihan Pestapora to Malaysia is a major milestone for us. It is not only an achievement from a production standpoint, but also a cultural success. We successfully introduced an international festival IP into Malaysia, and the response towards our ‘Blind Sale Tickets’ clearly reflects the trust fans have in what Latihan Pestapora represents.”

Additionally, Keeran D, Head of Special Projects of Hitman Solutions, stated, “That is why we wanted to ensure this year’s lineup truly reflects what fans want to see and experience, not only in terms of star power, but also in creating something meaningful and memorable for the audience.”

He further added that coordinating regional and international artists remains a complex undertaking, made possible through strong collaboration and strategic partnerships among all parties involved.

“We also want our fans to know that their concerns matter deeply to us, and we are working around the clock to implement measures that enhance the overall festival experience. The 2026 edition will feature free refillable water stations throughout the festival grounds, alongside several new and exciting improvements. We truly want this to be a meaningful step up from the previous experience,” he said.

Meanwhile, Pestapora Festival Director & Boss Creator Co-Founder, Kiki Ucup, described Latihan Pestapora as a cultural movement that continues to strengthen regional musical connections.

“We’ve seen how Malaysian fans are willing to travel to Jakarta every year just to experience Pestapora. Through Latihan Pestapora, we wanted to bring that same energy and experience closer to them.”

He also noted the rise in Malaysian attendance at Pestapora 2025 Jakarta, alongside the growing presence of Malaysian acts performing on Indonesian stages, which has further bridged the cultural divide between both countries.

“As a festival that originated from Indonesia, it is exciting to witness how the experience is embraced and celebrated across borders. This year’s lineup reflects that shared spirit, celebrating the identity of ‘serumpun’ music together. Through this collaboration, we hope to deepen not only our organisations’ relationship, but also the bond between our shared nations,” he shared.
