Man arrested for threatening influencer during live stream


SUBANG JAYA: Police arrested a man for allegedly threatening an influencer while the victim was live-streaming in Kampung Sri Langkas, Puchong.

Subang Jaya OCPD Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, in a statement on Thursday (July 9) the incident was believed to have occurred at about 5:30 pm on July 6.

“During the livestream, several men approached the complainant and instructed him to stop recording in the area.

“One of the men, identified as Rahim Bai, allegedly threatened the complainant, stating that if the recording went viral, he would ‘smash the complainant’s face’,” he said.

A police report was lodged shortly after, and police arrested a 65-year-old man in Subang Jaya on July 8.

“The suspect has been remanded for three days, until July 11,” he said.
