Increase in daily Covid-19 average cases in Brunei, says health ministry

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, March 14 (Bornei Bulletin/ANN): Brunei recorded an average of 160 Covid-19 cases per day last week, compared to an average of 137 the previous week.

Meanwhile 9,725 antigen rapid test (ART) results were uploaded to the BruHealth app in the week, of which 11.4 per cent were positive.

The weekly report of the Covid-19 trend was shared by the Ministry of Health in a statement yesterday.

One hundred and fifty-seven new cases were reported from ART results and two from RT-PCR laboratory tests yesterday.

There are two cases in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and close monitoring.

Meanwhile, there are no cases in Category 5.

As of March 12, the vaccination rate for those who have received three doses of the Covid-19 vaccine was 79.1 per cent, while 12 per cent have received the fourth dose. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
