SINGAPOREANS queued up to deposit money at banks in the republic on the seventh day of the new lunar calendar, believing that this will bring them prosperity for the entire Rooster Year, reported Sin Chew Daily.
The day is also known as ren ri (everyone’s birthday) because it is believed to be when humans were created. According to several posts on social media, it was an auspicious time for people to deposit money.
