I started travelling to India two years ago when my daughter pursued her higher secondary education in Tamil Nadu. Since her school is located in a village, we frequently travelled from one place to another by bus.
The journey is always tiring but we’ve always found it interesting that almost all the buses carry words of wisdom or idioms for passengers to reflect on. Once when I was travelling alone, I noticed a phrase that went: Karam siram puram neetta koodathu, meaning your hands and head are not supposed to be placed outside the window or shutters.
