Don’t worry if you haven’t gotten your flight ticket for Chinese New Year, you can still make it home in time for the reunion dinner with your family.

Batik Air has recently launched two promotional campaigns to help make travels easier during the festive season.

The booking period for both campaigns runs until next Friday, Feb 13.

The “Fixed Fares for Your Reunion” campaign is for flights scheduled from Feb 13 to 16.

One-way fares from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) or Subang’s Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (SZB) to Kuching, Sarawak start from RM318. From either airport to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, the one-way fares start from RM378.

Extra flights from Johor Baru Senai International Airport in Johor to Penang International Airport are available for the travel period from Feb 12 to 14. One-way fares start from RM388.

From Feb 13 to 15, there will be additional flights from Johor to Sarawak’s Sibu Airport, with one-way fares starting from RM588.

Meanwhile, the CNY Global Sale campaign covers both local and international destinations.

You can get up to 35% off Economy Flexi fares, 20% off Economy Value fares, and 30% off Business Flexi fares – for travels from now until Nov 30.

Through this campaign, you can travel more affordably to domestic destinations such as Penang, Langkawi (Kedah), Kuching (Sarawak) and KK.

For international flights, among the destinations you can opt for are Osaka and Tokyo (Japan), Mumbai and New Delhi (India), Perth (Australia), Seoul (South Korea), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Bangkok (Thailand), Bali (Indonesia), and Xiamen and Guangzhou (China).

While in the air, you might just encounter Wira and Manja, the cute mascots of Visit Malaysia 2026. In merchandise form, that is, as the airline is introducing VM2026-themed merchandise onboard in support of the nationwide tourism campaign.

By the way, if you’re a student, Batik Air has launched a new programme called “Batik Student Fare”. This also applies to lecturers and campus communities.
