KUALA LUMPUR: Vivo has unveiled its latest lineup of smartphones with the X500 Series, featuring three new imaging-oriented devices, at a launch event today (Oct 27).

At the top of the lineup is the Vivo X500 Pro Max with its 6.85in screen, capable of up to a 144Hz refresh rate.

Sitting on the back of the device is a triple camera system co-engineered with Zeiss, made up of a 200-megapixel main telephoto shooter, a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. Both the main and wide camera feature optical image stabilisation (OIS).

Under the hood, the device has a MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro processor and a 7,800mAh battery.

The Vivo X500 Pro Max is priced at RM6,399 and comes in Moonlit Black, Starry Gray, and Sunset Orange.

Meanwhile, the Vivo X500 Pro has the smallest form factor in the lineup, with a screen measuring in at 6.36in capable of up to a 144Hz refresh rate.

Like the X500 Pro Max, the X500 Pro has a triple camera setup co-engineered with Zeiss on the back, with a 64-megapixel main telephoto shooter, a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Both the main and wide cameras have OIS.

The device also shares the same processor as the Pro Max model, with a MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro, along with a 6,510mAh battery.

The Vivo X500 Pro comes in Moonlit Black, Starry Gray, and Sunset Orange colour options and is priced at RM5,999.

Last but not least, the base X500 has a 6.59in screen with up to a 144Hz refresh rate.

Similarly co-engineered with Zeiss, the Vivo X500 also has a triple-camera system on the back, consisting of a 64-megapixel main telephoto shooter, a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Both the main and wide cameras have OIS.

This is the only model in the series to feature a different processor, with a MediaTek Dimensity 9600M, along with a 7,500mAh battery.

The Vivo X500 comes in Sunny White, Starry Gray, and Dusk Black, and has an RM4,699 price tag.

All three models sport a 50-megapixel hole-punch selfie camera sitting at the top of the screen.

Other features in the lineup include an under-screen fingerprint reader, 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, along with IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance.

Like the X300 Series, which launched back in May this year, the X500 Pro and Pro Max can add on a telephoto extender kit intended for improved photography.

The X500 Pro Max can support both the Vivo Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2 and the Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra, each 200mm- and 400mm-equivalent focal length, respectively, while the X500 Pro only supports the 200mm-equivalent focal length Vivo Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2.

Vivo further launched the Vivo Buds Ultra earbuds (RM999), Vivo Headphones Studio (RM599), Vivo Buds Clip (RM799), and Vivo Powerbank 10,000mAh 33W (RM129) at the same event.
