Hotlink has introduced two new monthly Internet passes for its prepaid customers.
The Hotlink Unlimited Internet RM25 promises 6Mbps speed, with uncapped speed for 5G from 8pm to 8am, while the Hotlink Unlimited Internet RM55 comes with all-day uncapped speed.
Both passes come with a 30-day validity period and unlimited calls when using hotspot.
Hotlink Unlimited 55 users get an additional perk which is the complimentary mobile-only access to streaming platform Sooka.
However, both passes also come with a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limit – 40GB for the RM25 pass and 200GB for the RM55 pass.
On its FAQ page, users who have hit the FUP limit will be informed that they are using the Internet at a reduced speed, capped at 512kbps, until the pass expires. It added that 512kbps is sufficient to provide a “fairly good user experience” for standard definition streaming, social media use, and general web browsing.
Currently, the Hotlink prepaid starter pack is priced at RM10 with preloaded RM5 credit.
Prepaid customers that upgrade to its Hotlink postpaid plans are eligible for a free 5G phone with a minimum 12-month contract.
Hotlink postpaid plans start from RM30/month and include 2GB of data plus an additional 2GB for 5G use. On its website, current free 5G phone offers include the Nubia Focus 2 5G, valued at RM999.
The company added that users can perform plan upgrades through the Hotlink app.
