KUALA LIPIS: Corporal Mohd Azman Mat Yaacob felt uneasy after seeing his wife Nor Faizah Ridzuan’s real-time location – shared via the WhatsApp application – was not moving, despite checking his smartphone several times.

Mohd Azman, attached to the Petaling Jaya police station in Selangor, said he immediately contacted his wife and eldest son, Muhammad Hariz Adrian, 10, but received no response apart from unanswered WhatsApp messages.
