Messenger app Signal has rolled out direct device-to-device migration of users’ chat history for iPhones, making for a more secure data transfer.

On its blog, Signal said the feature migrated data over a local connection – similar to iOS’ AirDrop – skipping the need to upload data to a cloud then downloading it back on a new device.
