Microsoft to give users more control over updates in May

Windows 10 users who have had problems after a feature updates rejoice. — Microsoft

Microsoft corporate vice-president Mike Fortin announced via the Windows blog that starting with the upcoming May 2019 feature update Windows 10 will no longer automatically install feature updates, instead requiring users to initiate them.

To initiate feature updates, users need to launch the Windows update desktop application and click on the option saying download and install. The version of Windows they will be updating to will also be shown on-screen.
