Every year the CES, the world's largest annual consumer technology trade show, attracts close to 200,000 people, including industry professionals, exhibitors, and journalists. — AFP Relaxnews

In less than two weeks, the Consumer Electronics Show is set to open in Las Vegas in the United States. Attracting visitors from across the globe, the CES is the biggest event of its kind in the world. Here are a few figures that highlight the massive scale of this annual high-tech jamboree.

– 4,400 exhibitors: the estimated number of companies from more than 150 countries that presented their wares in 2018

– 182,198 visitors: the overall total for industry attendees, exhibitors and media personnel at the 2018 CES. Around two-thirds of those present were Americans, with the remaining third from around the globe

– 250,000 sq m: the floor area dedicated to the event at the Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center

– one million: the number of mentions on Twitter. This figure includes mentions of @CES and #CES2018 during last year's CES, Jan 7-12, 2018

– 49 million: the number of Views of CES's Snapchat Live Story during the 2018 edition

The Consumer Electronics Show will be held in Las Vegas, from Jan 8 to 11, 2019.
