The Sims 4: Get Famous expansion lets you play as an influencer

All the hard work could lead to a leading role in a big budget production like Cicakman 4.

The lifestyle of the rich and famous sets the tone for the upcoming Sims 4 expansion pack.

Due for release on Nov 15, The Sims 4: Get Famous will let you play an aspiring actor or influencer. After making a career choice, players have to take on a series of tasks in order for the Sim to become a famous personality.

There are four key features in the Get Famous expansion pack. In “Claim Your Fame”, players are reminded that the more famous the Sim becomes, the more attention, perks and fans it will attract.

However, it could also mean that the Sim would have to spend more money, or in this case, Simoleons, to maintain its lifestyle.

In “Act The Part”, players who choose an acting career have to help the Sim score a big break. You can improve your chances at shining in acting by putting in time to learn the lines or standing out at auditions by wearing outlandish costumes.

All the hard work could lead to a leading role in a big budget production like Cicakman 4.

There is also “Run This Town”, where players are introduced to the new world of Del Sol Valley. Get a starter home and work your Sim towards an exclusive house at the hills in The Pinnacles, or you know, Bukit Antarabangsa for us Malaysians.

Livestream your Sim’s unattainable lifestyle as influencer to its followers and watch your Sim’s status go up.

With “Live A Lavish Lifestyle”, players have to make sure the Sim gets to live in a gorgeous mansion with gold-plated furniture that’s decorated with unique and, of course, expensive set pieces.

Apart from that, you have to help your Sim score invitations to the hottest events in town and rub shoulders with other famous Sims. One of the ultimate goals is for your Sim to score a star on a walk of fame.

And if the key features are not enough, players can also look out for an appearance by real-life influencer Baby Ariel (who?) in the game. The 17-year-old singer has three million followers on YouTube.

Players can find Baby Ariel as a Sim in the game singing her hit single Aww in Simlish (Sims language). Well, anything sounds better than Johnny Johnny Yes Papa.

The expansion pack is priced at US$49.90 (RM207) and is available for pre-order.
