When browsing through Instragram's endless flow of posts, it's difficult to tell how much of today's content you have seen. Instragram wants to change that so users know when they have seen all the latest posts. — dpa

Are you one of those Instagram users who misses the feeling of not missing anything?

Since 2016, Instagram has no longer been showing posts in chronological order. Instead, an algorithm has determined the order of the posts. Prior to this change, users would be able to tell what posts they had already seen using the timestamp.

Now the platform is testing a new feature designed to give users a sense of whether they are missing more posts.

Some Instagram users have been receiving a test message that reads, "You’re all caught up – You've seen all new posts from the past 48 hours" after browsing, Techcrunch reports. This means you won't have to waste time on looking for the latest new selfie or food picture in your own feed any longer.

However, Instagram hasn't revealed whether this means you've seen every post from the accounts you're following or just the ones selected by its algorithm. — dpa
