Japan’s ‘strange cafe’ staffed by robots

TOKYO: Robots are waiting to serve coffee and other beverages at the Henna Cafe, or “strange café”, scheduled to open on Thursday at the Shibuya Modi commercial building in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo.

Travel agency H.I.S. Co is opening the cafe, where customers place orders via a ticket-vending machine, receive a QR code and hold it up to a machine on the counter.
