Visitors at a video game conference in Poland play a game together. Sony is making it easier for users to play games together with its latest software updates to the PlayStation 4.

Sony is making it easier for parents to control what their children do while playing online video games, among other new features, with the latest software update to the PlayStation 4.

Version 5.0. features an overhauled family management setup, which makes it easier to create user accounts for each child with individually specified parental controls. For example, the parent can block the use of certain functions for their younger child's account, such as online communication, that the older one can still access.
