Deeper connections: Tinder hopes to boost connections made on it.

Dating app Tinder is preparing to announce a major change to its algorithm in the coming days, its CEO indicated at the Web Summit in Ireland.

Tinder's plans were revealed via a tweet from the Web Summit, with Mashable offering more details.

According to the tech website, Tinder CEO and founder Sean Rad said that the change – the most significant to its algorithm yet – was hoped to boost connections made on the app by 30.

Rad noted a desire to promote "deeper connections" in light of the large volume of people using the service.
