Top iPhone apps: iMovie, Why You Lying?, Nengo Flow

iMovie magic: iMovie is getting the creative juices of people in South Korea and Australia flowing.

Apple's iMovie software proves popular with users worldwide, while Vine and Instagram user Downgoes Fraser endorses a lie detector, and Nengo Flow's official app is a hit in Brazil.

Messenger (Social Networking)
Facebook's multimedia messaging app that works over WiFi or data, with group or personal chat, integration with phone contacts and Facebook friends. The app no longer requires a Facebook account by default.

Why You Lying? (Entertainment)
Following his cover of 1997 R&B song Too Close as Why You Lying?, Instagram and Vine comic Nick Fraser pops up in this lie detector app where it's more fun to fail than pass. Vulgar language can be turned on and off with an I am 13 toggle on the app's main screen.

iMovie (Photo and Video)
Apple's movie creation and editing suite that integrates with the Photos app and can add titles, filters, soundtracks, and other effects. An Oct 22 update added support for 4K resolutions on iPad Air 2, after it rolled out to iPhones 6s, 6s Pro, and iPad Pro in September.

China

Multimedia messaging via wifi or data, instant integration with phone contacts lists, group chats, and voice calls. October updates introduced 3D Touch support, favoriting, and iOS 9 support for right-to-left languages. Germany's number two paid app is Threema, a secure multimedia messaging alternative.

Mon Espace - Pôle emploi (Business)

An app for France's national employment agency and upgraded to v1.1 at the start of October, offering remote reporting, a benefit payment calendar, branch opening times, and a job listings search.

Smashy Road: Wanted (Games)
An October update added 30 new vehicles to the Grand Theft Auto and Crossy Road-inspired high-speed pursuit of Smashy Road. The current top in-app purchase is US$3.99 (RM17.15) for an additional vehicle.

Brazil
Nengo Flow (Music)
An official app for Puerto Rican musician Ñengo Flow, including seven songs, offline or online listening, photos, playlists, and exclusive content for regular users. The top in-app purchase is valued at US$3.99 (RM17.15).
