Google is now getting more searches from mobile phones than computers

Mobile switch: Google says the bulk of its searches come from mobile phones rather than PCs.

LOS ANGELES: Consumers are now using mobile phones more often to search Google than desktop PCs, the company's senior vice-president Amit Singhal revealed at Recode's Code/Mobile conference. 

"We are getting over 100 billion searches every month," Singhal said. Mobile overtook the desktop as the number one source of traffic this summer, he said.
