Apple apologises after outage hits online services

TEMPORARY DISRUPTION: Apple's online stores for product and app purchases went down on March 11, 2015 for at least five hours, affecting its customers worldwide.

WASHINGTON: Apple apologised to users Wednesday after a nearly 12-hour outage of some of its major online services, affecting customers worldwide. 

The tech giant’s status page showed the App Store, iTunes, iBooks store and Mac App store went down from 0900 GMT and were offline until around 2030 GMT.
