Mirrorless interchangeable cameras which rely solely on live view have had excellent autofocus performance for a while now while DSLRs have generally been lacking in this area.
That’s set to change with Canon’s EOS 70D which comes with a new 20.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor that integrates what the company calls a “Dual Pixel CMOS AF” system.
