HONOR took part in Malaysia's Merdeka Day parade for the first time, joining the nation in celebration before an audience of around 100,000 people. Beyond marking HONOR's first appearance on this national stage, a familiar technology icon also became one of the day's highlights.

Just yesterday, HONOR's humanoid robot debuted at Malaysia Marathon 2026; less than a day later, it made a surprise appearance at the National Day Parade.

From the marathon route to the national parade stage, this also marks the humanoid robot's first step outside China, with Malaysia chosen as its first overseas destination.

Appearing at two major Malaysian events on consecutive days, HONOR kept the technology buzz building, writing a new chapter in tech history together with Malaysia.

The robot was also awarded Asia Record and Asean Record certifications recognising it as the first humanoid robot to complete a 10-kilometre public road race and march in a national day parade.

During the parade, an unreleased HONOR device in a striking purple finish – worn on the robot – unexpectedly caught everyone's attention. Making its first public appearance in this eye-catching purple colourway, the device left many wondering: what exactly is this mysterious new phone?

The answer is the all-new HONOR X9e Pro, set to launch soon in Malaysia. The HONOR X9 series has long been a favourite among Malaysian consumers, delivering strong sales performance in the local mid-range smartphone segment and earning its place as a ‘national phone’ in the eyes of many.

The new HONOR X9e Pro will carry forward the series' strengths in durability and long battery life, with a comprehensive upgrade that continues the X series' strong momentum in the Malaysian market.

HONOR continues to strengthen its market-leading position in Malaysia, with the X series consistently leading the mid-range smartphone segment and earning recognition as a true ‘national phone’, according to the brand.

Choosing Malaysia as the humanoid robot's overseas debut once again reflects how important a market Malaysia is to HONOR. Looking ahead, HONOR hopes to bring even more cutting-edge technology to the country and move forward together with Malaysian consumers.

From the Malaysia Marathon to the National Day parade; from the humanoid robot's first steps overseas to the unveiling of an all-new phone, HONOR brought its latest technology to Malaysia's national stage on two consecutive days.
