A global leader in Zhejiang cuisine, a Michelin-starred chef collaboration and West Lake-inspired interiors awaits foodies.
Longjing restaurant, China’s leading Zhejiang cuisine brand, announces its official entry into Malaysia with the grand opening of its first outlet at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
Marking one of the brand’s most significant international milestones, Longjing arrives in its third South-East Asian market following successful launches in Singapore and Bangkok.
Longjing will open three outlets across Malaysia in Dec 2025, led by its flagship store at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, which officially opens on Dec 10.
The other two outlets will be located in Sunway Pyramid, Petaling Jaya and Sunway Velocity Mall, Kuala Lumpur, both slated to welcome guests within the same month, signalling Longjing’s strong commitment to the Malaysian market.
Founded in 2008 in the Longjing Tea Garden by the West Lake in Hangzhou, China, Longjing now operates over 500 directly managed outlets worldwide.
The brand is known for combining Jiangnan aesthetics with refined culinary craftsmanship to elevate Zhejiang cuisine on the global stage.
The opening of the Malaysia flagship not only represents a major step in Longjing’s internationalisation, but also brings the poetic culture of Hangzhou together with contemporary dining artistry.
Located in the iconic Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Longjing’s Malaysia flagship outlet is the brand’s largest overseas restaurant to date. The interior design draws inspiration from the famed “Ten Scenes of West Lake,” recreating the feeling of a lakeside journey where every step reveals a new view.
Inside, guests will find a black-awning boat seating, flowing water features, oil-paper umbrella décor and hand-painted murals, all complemented by soft lighting and elegant grey-gold tones.
References to classic West Lake imagery, such as the Longjing Boat Banquet and the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, transform the space into an immersive Jiangnan landscape.
Diners are transported as if strolling along misty lake vistas, experiencing the tranquillity and romance of the West Lake in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
