'Go away, I don't want to see you', says Tuanku Muhriz in ticking off Negri MB

PETALING JAYA: A video has been making its rounds online of Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir openly ticking off state Mentri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim.

In the video, His Royal Highness was seen telling a group of people that Ismail had written a letter to the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, informing them Tuanku Muhriz was no longer the state ruler.

Tuanku Muhriz then questioned why Ismail wanted to see him, adding that as long as Ismail did not retract what he said, there was no need to meet.

“Go away, I don’t want to see you. Okay? Do you understand?

“Am I the Yang di-Pertuan Besar or not? You said I’m not,” said His Royal Highness in a stern tone, while addressing Ismail in the video.

In response, Ismail offered a traditional gesture used when greeting royalty known as “angkat sembah”.

The incident comes in the midst of the constitutional crisis in the state.
