Celebrating active ageing with festivities

Domitys Bangsar aims to redefine ageing by creating a lifestyle that is active, social and fulfilling.

CHOOSING the right place for ageing parents can be a tough decision. But beyond care and comfort, what if senior living could mean joy, activity and community? And if you imagine your own future, how would you want to grow old – quietly, or in a community full of life?

Domitys Bangsar, an active senior living residence in Malaysia by Ascott Malaysia, welcomes the public to an open day on Saturday, Oct 4, from 12pm to 8pm.

With the vibrant theme Flower Power, the event promises an activity-packed day of knowledge sharing, wellness talks, lively activities and community spirit – reflecting the residence’s mission of empowering seniors to live fully, actively and joyfully.

The programme features a range of talks and sharing sessions by KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital geriatric and internal medicine specialist Dr Quah Jing Yao, KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital nephrologist and physician Dr Benjamin Tan, as well as Herbal Revival Sdn Bhd marketing manager Benjamin Lim.

Visitors can also take part in activities including line dancing, karaoke and photography, with lucky draws held throughout the day. The full programme can be found below.

In conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Festival, the celebration will also feature mooncakes, lanterns and a tanglong photo session, bringing together residents, families and guests to share the festive cheer.

The day will culminate in an evening of lanterns and mooncakes, symbolising unity, longevity and the joy of togetherness.

Guests will also have the opportunity to tour Domitys Bangsar’s modern residences and explore its wellness-focused facilities, gaining insight into how the community supports an active ageing lifestyle that balances independence with comfort.

“We’re excited to welcome the public to experience first-hand what active senior living means at  Domitys Bangsar,” said Ascott Malaysia country general manager Mondi Mecja.

“Our open day is not only about discovering our residence but also about celebrating the joy of ageing well – through learning, movement, laughter and cultural traditions like the Mid-Autumn Festival.”

Admission is free and all are welcome. RSVP today via Whatsapp at 014-3895098.
