Nurturing future talent through educational excellence

Taylor’s Open Day introduces students to Taylor’sphere – a learning ecosystem and community that nurtures intellect, craft and practical wisdom

AT the heart of learning at Taylor’s lies an ecosystem which delivers quality education and experience for its students to graduate in demand.

Demonstrating its commitment to balanced excellence in education, the “Taylor’sphere” ecosystem aims to nurture students by building intellect, craft and practical wisdom, while fostering the development of problem-solving, critical thinking and life skills.

This in turn prepares students for an impactful future in a post-pandemic world as they not only acquire academic knowledge and job skills through creativity and collaboration, but also essential life skills and social networks.

This then allows them to apply what they have learnt into finding solutions to real-world problems, while making an impact on their communities.

Through Taylor’sphere, students are supported by a plethora of resources including life skills and career planning coaches, the Taylor’s Makerspace innovative hub and startup incubator BizPod.

There’s even a dedicated commercialisation team to help sharpen students’ business proposals and connect them with investors and venture capitalists, should they pitch for funding.

Students are also exposed to multiple learning tracks to choose from, such as conventional internship opportunities, the technopreneurship mode or a work-based learning experience with reputable industry partners for an entire year.

These learning opportunities give students the chance to collaborate closely with industry experts to not only develop, but also apply their knowledge and abilities in a variety of fields – increasing their adaptability for employment.

Continuous excellence

The institution’s 16th global ranking on the graduate employment rate indicator in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022, proves its mettle in nurturing students to be industry-ready.

Placed among the top 1% of the most influential universities globally based on the QS World University Rankings 2023, Taylor’s remains the number one private university in South-East Asia for three consecutive years.

The education institution is also the only private university in South-East Asia to rank in Asia’s Top 50, according to the QS Asia University Rankings 2023. The QS methodology examines four major categories such as research reputation, the learning and teaching environment, research impact, and internationalisation.

Taylor’s excellence across these categories, combined with its rise in the QS rankings, plays a key role for students who opt for a university that inculcates pedagogical innovations, which set them apart in terms of promising graduate employability opportunities both locally and globally, higher starting salaries, fruitful research opportunities, and a wider alumni network.
