The diversity of Malaysians celebrating Raya Macam Cara! captured on film by TNB
TENAGA Nasional Berhad (TNB) returns to entertain Malaysians with its new film, Raya Macam Cara!
This film highlights the beauty behind the cultures and traditions of the different Malaysian states in celebrating Raya, each unique in its own way that lends diversity to the nation’s celebration of the season.
This film tells the story of four cheeky children feeling bewildered by the different ways their relatives from the north, south, east and west of the country celebrate Raya.
Apart from featuring the differences in clothing styles, servings of dishes and the ways to salam, this film also portrays the variety of dialects that are present in Malaysia. It is this diversity that makes the Raya celebration even brighter.
“Similarly in TNB, even with our staff originating from all parts of Malaysia, we share a common goal, which is to generate good energy for us to continuously move forward to a brighter and meaningful future,” said TNB Group Corporate Communications head Shukreen Ma.
“Therefore, we practise the values of collaboration and being mindful towards the people around us and our surroundings in fulfilling our goal to provide a better tomorrow for everyone.”
In this film, four children who are related to each other meet at the house of their grandparents in Kedah and they come to realise that there are various ways in celebrating Raya.
Nevertheless, they remain enthusiastic, trying the variety of dishes served to them. They even face a distressing moment when a goose chases them in the village.
All of these bring more excitement and happiness, creating a sweet memory for them to reminisce.

This five-minute film started airing on TNB’s YouTube channel, TENAGAofficial on April 20 and on TV stations nationwide from April 28.
It will also be supported by a print advertisement in major newspapers.
