What’s the next pitstop on your education roadmap? Look to IMU for possible opportunities.
IN today’s world of adjusting to a new normal, we find ourselves going online to complete tasks we would usually do in person, be it buying groceries, working and even schooling – all from the comfort and convenience of home.
This also holds true for when you are making big decisions like picking the right university and choosing what's next in your education roadmap.
Guiding you on possible pathways is International Medical University’s (IMU) virtual open day on Aug 15 from 10am to 4pm, which will showcase the range of programmes that is offered, plus give you a sneak peek of its campus and facilities.
Should you have any questions, the virtual open day would be an excellent opportunity to obtain first-hand information on how the university’s internationally benchmarked programmes can help pave your way towards a promising career and the opportunities that come with it.
Besides that, the university’s team of education advisors would be available to answer your questions about life at IMU.
You can also seize this opportunity to seek more information on a variety of issues, such as career advantages of different programmes, university applications, financing (including fees and financial assistance) and accommodation.
Better yet, you can also learn more about IMU’s scholarships and bursaries for students with excellent academic results.
Parents and students are encouraged to join in – what the university describes as one of the biggest attractions during the event – the live question and answer sessions with IMU deans and academics on “Adapting to the Next Normal at IMU”.
The speakers would cover the teaching and learning challenges faced by the students during the pandemic and the available support offered by the school.
Meanwhile, graduates are encouraged to explore the latest postgraduate programme, Master in Health Informatics and Analytics (MHIA), with its first intake in September 2021.
This programme aims to train the next generation of leading researchers and practitioners seeking to develop effective ways to organise, coordinate, manage and deliver high quality patient care to serve public health needs.
Furthermore, it has been designed to suit the needs of future health IT specialists and data scientists, which would enable them to perform analyses and develop novel tools and methods for this rapidly growing field.
Interested in healthcare but have yet to start? IMU’s one-year full-time MHIA programme – also available part-time – provides the perfect pathway for recent graduates or professionals from various areas who intend to move their career into this area of the healthcare sector.
During the event, you will be able to explore and experience the campus virtually, while IMU’s admissions team would be on hand to help you answer any questions and assist with your application process.
Plus, you would be able to enjoy the application and registration fee waiver of up to RM800 (except medicine and dentistry) should you make an application on that day.
