MA stick to decision of placing Jayden under Category B

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Aquatics (MA) are standing by their decision to place Jayden Tan under Category B for the upcoming SEA Games in Thailand, stating that selection was strictly based on current performance during the official qualification window from Aug 1, 2024 to Aug 31, 2025.

While Jayden is a SEA Games bronze medallist and former national record holder in the 400m individual medley (4:23.24s) from Cambodia 2023, MA assistant secretary Nurul Huda Abdullah emphasised that past achievements do not override current merit.
