Sivasangari reaches career-high world No. 6 ranking


PETALING JAYA: Women's squash player S. Sivasangari continues to make great strides towards breaking into the world's elite after reaching a career-high ranking of world No. 6.

The latest update released by the Professional Squash Association (PSA) on Monday (Oct 20) saw Sivasangari move up two spots from her previous position of world No. 8.

"Sivasangari Subramaniam is our World No. 6. Her new career-highest ranking. Congratulations! What great news on Deepavali Day," shared the Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia on social media.

Sivasangari is currently competing in the US Open in Philadelphia, where she will face Egypt's Sana Ibrahim in the second round.

Her compatriot Rachel Arnold also climbed one spot to No. 19 in the world rankings.
