PETALING JAYA: Ng Eain Yow defended the men’s title in style but S. Sivasangari fell in the women’s final of the Asian Individual Squash Championships in Hong Kong on Saturday (June 10).

Top seed Eain Yow was in top form as he defeated Velavan Senthilkumar of India 11-4, 11-5, 11-6 to defend the title he won in 2021.

However, Hong Kong’s Chan Sin Yuk denied Malaysia the double after beating Sivasangari 11-6, 9-11, 14-12, 3-11, 11-4 in the women’s final.

Squash legend Datuk Nicol David was the last Malaysian to win the women’s title in 2015.
