Nicol spirals out of Netsuite Open in the semis

PETALING JAYA: This has got to be the worst ever season for former world No. 1 Nicol David.

The 33-year-old suffered a 12-10, 5-11, 2-11, 5-11 loss to American world No. 7 Amanda Sobhy in the semi-finals of the Netsuite Open squash championships at the Justin Herman Plaza in San Francisco on Friday. It was Nicol’s first-ever loss to the American player.
