PETALING JAYA: Malaysian world No. 2 Nicol David got off to an easy start as she goes in search of a fourth straight US Open squash title.

The 32-year-old was just too strong for qualifier Joey Chan of Hong Kong, winning 11-6, 11-9, 11-8 in the first round at the Drexel University in Philadelphia on Sunday.
