SINGAPORE: Egyptian star Raneem El Welily survived a scare before checking into the quarter-finals of the inaugural US$100,000 (RM376,100) Alexandria International Open.
The world No. 2, who hails from Alexandria, needed four sets to overcome India’s Dipika Pallikal 11-9, 9-11, 12-10, 11-3 in the second round on Sunday.
