GEORGE TOWN: England’s Emma Beddoes took a giant step towards breaking into the world’s top 20 after stunning top seed Rachael Grinham of Australia in the US$10,000 (RM31,800) IJM Land Penang Women’s Open squash tournament final at the Nicol David International Squash Centre on Saturday.
Third seed Beddoes, currently ranked 30th in the world, put in a solid display to take out world No. 16 Grinham 14-12, 11-3, 7-11, 11-9 in just under an hour.
