Shooting girls earn bronze in 50m rifle prone

YANGON: Malaysia won a first medal at the North Dagon Shooting Range here when Nur Suryani Mohd Taibi, Muslifah Zulkifli and Haslisa Hamed delivered a bronze in the women’s 50m rifle prone team event.

The trio gunned down a total of 1,739 points to pip Vietnam to third spot by a single point. Malaysia were in fourth position heading into the sixth and final round but managed to overtake the Vietnam team right at the death.
