AI OGURA put himself in the best position to claim the Moto2 world title today after taking pole position in the Malaysia Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit.
A consistent run with only one set of tyres saw the 21-year-old, riding a Kalex for Idemitsu Honda Team Asia, place himself perfectly ahead of his title rival Augusto Fernandez of Spain by grabbing pole in the penultimate round of the world championship yesterday.
