PETALING JAYA: Kim Pan-gon’s era in Selangor began with a rousing start after they thrashed Brunei 5-2 in their Super League encounter at the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium in Bandar Seri Begawan on Saturday (Jan 10).

Brazilian striker Chrigor Moraes continued to set the league alight when he scored four goals in the fifth, 10th, 58th and 90th minutes.

The other goal was scored by midfielder Nooa Laine in the 48th minute.

It was South Korean Pan-gon’s first game in charge of the Red Giants after joining the team on Monday (Jan 5).

Brunei’s consolation goals were scored by winger Hakeme Yazid Said (41st) and Portuguese midfielder Miguel Oliveira (62nd).
