No spring in divers’ step on first day of competition


PETALING JAYA: Malaysian divers were way off the mark in the 1m springboard preliminaries in the opening day of the World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan, yesterday.

Hanis Nazirul Jaya Surya (pic) and Gabriel Gilbert Daim finished in 51st (250.10 points) and 53rd (242.95) positions respectively at the end of the six-dive men’s 1m springboard preliminary competition.
