PETALING JAYA: National cyclists Azizulhasni Awang and Muhd Shah Firdaus Sahrom were in red-hot form in cold Ireland to send a strong signal to their rivals - that they are ready to tackle the second phase of the Tokyo Olympic Games qualification.

Azizul showed his mettle despite the chilly conditions to battle his way to a silver medal in the men’s elite sprint final at the Dublin Track Cycling International after losing two close heats to reigning Olympic champion Jason Kenny at the Sundrive Velodrome on Sunday.
