PETALING JAYA: National bowler Qurratu’Ain Izdihar Pozi let out a huge sigh of relief after capturing the Asian Junior Cham­pionships title by the slimmest of margins in Doha.

A newcomer to the national junior team, the 17-year-old clinched gold in the girls’ singles category by finishing just one pin ahead of China’s Li Yiru, recording 1,239 pinfalls at the Qatar International Bowling Centre on Sunday.
