Malaysia wins silver in women's IBF World Cup


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia concluded their IBF World Cup campaign with a silver medal from the women's team.

The national bowling team lost to the United States 2-3 at Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Hong Kong on Tuesday (January 14).

The team of Sin Li Jane, Natasha Roslan, Gillian Lim, and Siti Safiyah Amirah Abdul Rahman lost the first game 195-214 but recovered to win the second 222-211.

The United States took the third game 176-198, but Malaysia forced a fifth game by winning the fourth 220-210.

They faltered in the final game, losing 180-211.

This marks Malaysia's fourth medal in the tournament, with Natasha winning gold in the women's singles, the men's team winning gold, and Rafiq Ismail claiming silver in the men's singles.
