Bowler and medalist Allan Lee passes away at 83


PETALING JAYA: Allan Lee, decorated bowler and Asian Games bronze medallist, passed away due to old age on Thursday. Allan was 83.

Allan played a pivotal role in securing the Trios bronze medal at the 1986 Asian Games in South Korea, and has five SEA Games medals to his name (1975, 1983, 1985, 1989, 1993).

He was also a cherished coach who had an instrumental role in the development of grassroots athletes and his pioneering efforts in the National Development Programme since the 1990s.

Allan’s contributions left an indelible mark on the sport and his legacy as a mentor will be remembered for generations to come.
