Diarrhoea puts paid to Kai Wun’s hopes


PETALING JAYA: Former world champions Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik reached the men’s doubles quarter-finals at the expense of compatriots Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun at the World Championships in New Delhi yesterday.

Kai Wun unfortunately was down with diarrhoea and had to withdraw from the competition.

According to national doubles coach Rexy Mainaky, Kai Wun had been unwell, thus the difficult decision to withdraw the pair.
