Sze Fei-Izzuddin bow out of Singapore Open after going down to Indonesian pair in q-finals


Painful exit: Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani crashed out in the quarter-finals of the Singapore Open.

PETALING JAYA: National men’s doubles pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani saw their fine run at the Singapore Open come to an end after falling to Indonesia’s Fajar Alfian-Shohibul Fikri in the quarter-finals on Friday (May 29).

Despite putting up a spirited fight, Sze Fei-Izzuddin were unable to overcome the Indonesians, going down 18-21, 21-10, 14-21 in the last-eight clash.

The victory also saw Fajar-Shohibul extend their head-to-head advantage to 2-1, having previously defeated the Malaysians at the China Masters last September.
