Soon Huat-Shevon off to good start in China Masters

PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles pair Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie got off to a convincing start in their China Masters campaign after ousting compatriots Wong Tien Ci-Lim Chiew Sien on Tuesday (Sept 16).

Eighth seeds Soon Huat-Shevon had little difficulty overcoming Tien Ci-Chiew Sien 21-17, 21-12 in just 30 minutes to book their spot in the second round at Shenzhen Arena.

They will face the winners of the match between China’s Gao Jiaxuan-Wu Mengying and Taiwan’s Ye Hong-wei-Nicole Gonzales Chan next.
