Letshanaa upsets second seed to reach Indonesian Masters final

PETALING JAYA: Shuttler K. Letshanaa is on a roll.

The 21-year-old Letshanaa reached the final of the Indonesian Masters after taking down second seed Liang Ting-yu of Taiwan 21-18, 21-19 in 43 minutes in Surabaya.

It was a close fight in the second game from 12-12 onwards but the Malaysian, seeded third, prevailed to win the semi-final match.

The world No. 63 will take on Ni Kadek Dhinda of Indonesia, who fought hard to beat Hong Kong's Saloni Samirbhai 12-21, 21-11, 21-18 in another semi-final match that went on for 65 minutes.
