Zii Jia does not fear anymore to dream big in Olympics

PETALING JAYA: Men's singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia is ready to realise his dream of winning the gold in the Paris Olympics.

World No. 7 Zii Jia will open his campaign in Group G on Sunday (July 27) against Sri Lanka's world No. 70 Viren Nettasinghe.

In a heartfelt social media post, the independent player said that he was no longer afraid to face his dream.

"The dream I always had. The dream I visualised everyday. The dream that I'm no longer afraid to face," said Zii Jia.

"The dream to realise for my family, my country. The Jalur Gemilang flew high in the rafters. The Negaraku for the world to hear.

"The dream that is the Olympic gold.

Zii Jia will also play Spain's world No. 62 Pablo Abian in the group before a possible round of 16 clash against Indonesia's 2021 Tokyo Games bronze medallist Anthony Ginting.
