Yee Hern hogs limelight by beating top seed Jia Zheng


PETALING JAYA: Wee Yee Hern (pic) stole the show in the quarter-finals of the boys’ Under-16 event at the 100Plus National Junior Circuit first leg badminton tournament when he stunned top seed Kok Jia Zheng.

Johor’s Yee Hern showed tremendous fighting spirit to come from behind and upset Jia Zheng of Selangor 15-21, 21-8, 21-11 in a match that was just two minutes shy of the hour mark at the Selangor Badminton Association Hall yesterday.
